9. Any Other Business
Robby Mackintosh began a discussion as to how we could attract younger members to the Branch. There are a great many ex QO HLDRS/HLDRS out there but they tend to wait until they are older before joining. We need to come up with some ideas to attract new members or risk losing our support and ability to function as a branch. Other comments included general unhappiness at the lack of support on occasion from people who lived nearby. Many members and guests travel great distances to attend these functions and those who live within a few miles do not. All were to be encouraged to attend these functions.
11. Date of next Meeting Saturday 7th or 14th February 2008, hopefully again within the Regimental home at Fort George, but wholly dependent on the agreement and assistance of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland who will obviously have to take into account their operational commitments. Chairman and Secretary to investigate nearer the time. Otherwise an alternative location for the AGM and Annual Dinner will be arranged.
There being no other comments or business the Meeting closed at 1930hours.
