Liverpool Scottish Memorial will be unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum
Jul 9 @ 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Message from Roy Boardman,

“I am delighted to confirm that a memorial to the Liverpool Scottish will be unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire on Saturday 9th July 2022. The unveiling will be carried out by Brigadier Charles Grant OBE, late Queen’s Own Highlanders. You may be aware that the Liverpool Scottish were a Battalion of the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders from 1937 to 1967, the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders were an antecedent Regiment of the Queen’s Own Highlanders and your Committee felt it appropriate that Brig Grant be invited to unveil the memorial.

Full details of the programme for the day and travel arrangements will be shared in the coming months but the outline timings will be: All arrive by 11.00am, Unveiling Ceremony 12.00pm, Lunch if required 1.00pm, Freetime to explore 3.00pm to 5.00pm when the Arboretum closes.

This will be a memorable occasion and the memorial will honour the Regiment and all those who have served.

I hope you will be able to join us on the day but there is no need to let me know at the moment, please wait until the detailed instructions are sent out.
